街市对于我们国家的考生来说还是比较熟悉的，而在其它一些国家，街市比较少见。所谓的街市可以是外面的卖美食小吃的小摊小贩也可以是北方传统的早市，也可以是那种专门在路边摆摊卖文玩、手工艺品等等商品的市场。建议同学们在看到下面的题目之后，先给自己一些时间进行口头练习，最后再参考范文进行学习。

What do people usually buy on the street market?为什么人们经常在街市上买东西？

Well,people usually get some groceries such as fruits and snacks on the street market as the price is relatively competitive than those in the stores.Also,they would buy some handicrafts there because the craftsmen on the market can tailor them to their needs.

人们经常在街市买一些百货，例如水果或者零食，因为那里的价格相对店里更有竞争力。另外，他们还会在那里买一些手工艺品。因为，街市上的工匠们可以为他们量体裁衣。

Do you prefer to go shopping in the shopping mall or on the street market?你倾向于在购物商场买东西还是在街市买东西？

I’d rather go shopping in the shopping mall than on the street market.I know that the items sold by the street vendors are cheaper but I care about the quality the most,which is something they can’t always promise.So,the shopping mall is often my priority.

我更倾向于去购物中心购物而非是街市。我知道街上的商贩卖的产品价格都比较低。但是，我更在意质量，这个不是他们总是都能够保证的。所以，购物中心经常是我的首选之地。

When was the last time you went to a street market?你上一次去街市是什么时候？

Oh,that was long long ago.I remember it was about three years ago during the evening time after dinner.My parents and I were having a walk and saw a street market selling some good-looking Matryoshka dolls.I thought they were adorable and bought a set of them.

那时很久远的事情了。我记得大概是在三年前的一个晚餐之后的夜晚时间。我和我爸妈在散步然后发现了一个卖俄罗斯套娃的街市。我觉得它们很可爱于是就买下了一套。

Are there many street markets in China?中国有很多街市吗？

Yes,there are.Usually,it’s quite common in small towns where there are fewer supermarkets to get easy access to.Street markets are very convenient in China for people to buy some groceries,so you don’t have to take buses or walk a long distance to get them.

是的，还是很多的。街市在去超市不方便的小镇里是很常见的。在中国的街市，人们能够很容易买到一些杂货，所以你不必做公汽或者走很远的路去购买。
